The Hungarian National Trading House and ALX Greece, under the auspices of the Hungarian Embassy, organised the Hungarian Gastro Athens Event 2017, held in Aigli Zappeiou, on Tuesday 28/03/2017. The purpose of the reception was the presentation of the gastronomic culture of Hungary, through lunch of representative Hungarian dishes and fine wines offered to invited journalists, chefs and entrepreneurs. The dishes were curated by the Hungarian chef Mihaly Vorak, while materials came from Hungarian companies. The Ambassador of Hungary, Mr. Erik Haupt, attended the event and addressed the attendees.

Welcome Menu:
• Canapé mousse de foie gras

Main Menu:

  • Variety of Hungarian deli meat and cheese
  • Traditional “Goulash” soup
  • Liver goose mousse, cooked with Tokaj wine
  • Green salad with smoked duck breast
  • Risotto with a variety of mushrooms, paprika oil and Turkey fillet
  • Pork stuffed with Hungarian smoked sausage, accompanied by mashed fresh potatoes and tomato juice
  • Desert: Yogurt Tart with fruit and fruit juice & “Ntompos” Cake with chocolate and caramel
  • Coffee/Tea with Bon-Bon chocolate candy
