The energy transition is not only an environmental issue, but also a competitiveness issue. For the third time one of the most important sustainability events in Central Europe, Planet Budapest 2026 Expo and Experience Programmewill take place. As part of Planet Expo 2026, organised by the Blue Planet Climate Foundation, two days of the Planet Conference will focus on the sustainable economy and agriculture, as well as on clean energy and the energy sector, helping the Hungarian economy to make the green transition and achieve climate neutrality goals
The second day of the conference will focus on clean energy and energy transition opportunities.The morning session will focus on energy storage innovations, the future of energy production in Hungary, and the transition strategy of industries and how to raise finance.
The afternoon programme will focus on the potential of renewable energy sources – solar, wind and geothermal – in Hungary, the role of energy storage in system stabilisation and the currently untapped potential of energy communities. Invited speakers and experts will demonstrate through practical examples how clean energy can become a pillar for economic growth and security of supply.
Sustainability is a complex economic and social system that does not concern a single sector but a wide range of economic actors. In this system, cross-sectoral cooperation, knowledge sharing and joint solution finding are particularly valued – this is the dialogue that the Planet Conference aims to strengthen.
