The new buses are less harmful to the environment. The name of the new vehicle is Econell 18 Next. It weighs 3 tonnes, meaning it is 15 percent lighter than buses of similar size and capacity. As a result, the bus consumes less fuel and is more environmentally friendly.

“There are currently about 8,500 buses in operation in Hungary. Their average age is over 14. However, the goal is to bring this under 10 years,” said Palkovics, Minister of Innovation and Technology. Hungary has a modern bus development and production capacity.
