The Friends of the Patras Archaeological Museum Association, presided by Mr. Nikos Douros, held the event of the traditional vasilopita on Sunday, with honored guest the Ambassador of Hungary in Greece.
The event took place in the crowded auditorium of the archaeological museum. Indeed, during the event three persons were commemorated. The Ambassador of Hungary for the enhancement of cultural, social and economic relations between Greece and Hungary over time, but also the fact that the Patra is fraternized to the city of Ntempresen.
The Ethnologist Lila De Chavez for the contribution to the establishment and consolidation of the Association, and the Museum’s architect, Theofanis Mpompotis.
We would like to remind, that the new Archaeological Museum of Patras is chosen to be among 6 museums in the world in the FX Awards 2009 Awards, while the President of OLPA Nikos Kontoes announced that the Port has created a booth that advertises the Museum and expects printed material from the Ministry of Culture.
