Exhibition “The Refined Art of Porcelain”

An exhibition of rare pieces of artwork of the handmade Hungarian porcelain of the Herend Porcelain Manufacture is hosted at the War Museum, at the center of Athens, until the 31st of May 2018.

The exhibition is named “The Refined Art of Porcelain”, which is organized by the Hungarian National Trading House-ALX Greece, under the auspices of the Embassy of Hungary in Athens, in the context of developing bilateral cultural relations.

With two centuries of experience, the artists of Herend are able to create a combination of almost 16,000 shapes and 4,000 patterns. What distinguishes the porcelain of this historic manufacturer is the purely handmade manufacturing process.

After being hosted at the Kremlin, at the St. Petersburg’s Tsarskoye Selo, at the Geneva Ariana Museum, in Vienna and Italy, this exhibition has also arrived in Athens, in the context of Hungary’s cultural activities.

The exhibition is available to the public on the first floor of the War Museum, throughout its opening hours, daily (and Sunday) 9:00 to 19:00.
