The 4iG Group and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) are the first in Hungary to jointly test their data transmission equipment operating at 6 GHz, reports Index. The 4iG Group will be the first in the Central and Eastern European region to demonstrate 5.5G technology using 6 GHz frequency, which opens up new horizons in mobile network speeds and enables record data transmission speeds under controlled conditions, the portal reports. The technology is capable of delivering download speeds of up to 10 Gbps at existing base station densities, which is ten times faster than 5G technology currently offers.
