Finding a parking space in the city center is often a time-consuming and frustrating task, which not only causes difficulties for motorists, but also contributes to traffic congestion and environmental pollution. Yettel is now opening a new perspective in Hungary with its artificial intelligence-powered parking assistant function, which helps users find a free parking space faster and more efficiently within the company’s mobile application.
For the first time in Budapest, the Yettel application’s HelyKereső function makes finding a parking space easier, using anonymous and aggregated data from various sources to make a real-time forecast of the probability of finding a free parking space on a given street. The AI algorithm also takes into account traffic conditions, time of day, weather conditions and historical traffic data, thus helping to optimize the parking process.
The new AI-based parking assistant can reduce the time spent searching for a parking space and the associated stress, while reducing unnecessary circling, reducing city traffic, fuel consumption and environmental impact. The AI-based parking assistant is available in the Yettel app from May 26. The service will be available in other major cities later.
